Skagit River Salmon Festival  2021 Update

Dear Skagit River Salmon Festival Patrons:

After careful consideration, our Board of Directors regretfully has to inform you that the 2021 Skagit River Salmon Festival will not take place in its usual fashion.  It will look a little different this year. Rather than a single day-long large festival event, we will host a series of smaller in-person and virtual events.

Due to the great uncertainty that we have faced this year, we feel that it is essential to put the health and safety of our community first. It is too complex to safely organize multiple vendors, environmental organizations, and volunteers.

Since 2012, the festival has been a chance for our community to come together and celebrate our amazing Skagit River, its salmon, and vast resources while providing education and inspiring community conservation.

Just because our festival has changed, the meaningful work of each of our partners continues. We will be having a presence at the Mount Vernon Farmer’s Market on our regularly scheduled second Saturday in September.  We plan to distribute conservation information and have a variety of engaging activities throughout the day. Stay tuned to our website SkagitRiverFest.org and follow our social media pages for more information about our upcoming events:

BECOME A FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are an essential part of the Skagit River Salmon Festival! Every year, nearly 80 volunteers staff our entrances, welcome booths, beer garden and more to make sure we have the most welcoming community Festival in the county. The Skagit River Salmon Festival depends on volunteers to make the Festival happen.
